C.S.I Mississippi

No not the crime scene television show but the Christian Services Inc. (CSI)... I was looking for a place to volunteer at and I came across this website in which everyone comes together from different organizations to show their love for the people. It offers assistance for utilities such as rent, provides medicines, a meals on wheels program and a soup kitchen for those who are in need of a meal. To take advantage of these services please contact CSI for an appointment at (601) 582-5683.

General office hours are from Monday - Friday 9:00am-4:30pm
Soup Kitchen hours are from Mon-Fri. 9am-1pm.
Thrift Store is open between 9am-noon

Give Your Kids a Reason to Smile

smiling_kids.jpgEach year the Ohio Dental Association offers children from low-income homes free screenings, cleanings and fillings. Kids are selected from local schools to participate in Give Kids a Smile Day.

This event is important to the development of a child since dental problems can lead to greater diseases in the future. According to the Center for Disease Control, approximately 25 percent of children ages 2 to 11 have untreated cavities.

This year the event was held on February 3, 2010. Registration began in October 2009. It would be a good idea to begin looking for ways to register your child for this event in the Fall.
